Wink Bingo Acquisition Ups 888 Revenue - 02-15-10 |
February 15 -
888
Holdings, one of the leading online gaming operators in the world, announced
impressive fourth quarter and yearly results recently.
The Gibraltar based group, which recently purchased
Wink
Bingo, saw a rise of 14% in operating income, while its B2B division,
Dragonfish, reported a rise of 36% in operating income compared to the previous
year.
A lot of this was thanks to the performance of 888 Holding's bingo brands,
including 888Ladies, the newly launched 888Bingo and Wink Bingo.
In a recent interview, the Chief Executive Officer of 888 Holdings, Gigi
Levy, said that he was satisfied with the way the acquisition of Wink Bingo had
gone, and his group was now on the lookout for other successful acquisitions.
Thanks to Wink Bingo, 888's customer base went up a staggering 52%, providing
the group with an extended platform off which to launch its other products.
Wink Bingo is currently offering new players a £15 welcome bonus,
absolutely free, as soon as they sign up at the site.
Wink Bingo recently celebrated its 2nd birthday and offered extra chat games
and promotions to lucky players.
888 Holdings has no debt and has plenty of cash reserves. "This leaves the
group in a sound position to exploit further merger and acquisitions
opportunities when they become available," said Levy.
"Our positive momentum continues into 2010 and, supported by our successful
Wink acquisition and our various business initiatives, we expect to grow the
business further during the current year," he said.
