PKR Celebrates Birthday with Software Update - 08-24-10

August 24 - It was only four years ago that PKR.com was launched, but this online poker room has certainly had a staggering impact on the virtual poker room since then.

The 3D site, famous for its stunning avatars, brilliant graphics and innovative approach to online poker, has completely revolutionized the way the game is played on the internet - not a bad achievement for a site that was only launched in 2006.

To celebrate its fourth birthday this month, PKR Poker updated its software to Version 2.0, bringing with it some excellent new features for players.

Most importantly, Version 2.0 makes it even easier to navigate PKR's already user-friendly site.

The games lobby has undergone a complete overhaul and features a games finder wizard that enables players to find games titles they are after, or tournament types they wish to locate, with absolutely no hassle.

Other new features include the possibility of taking part in up to nine tables at once.

The Chief Operating Officer for PKR.com, Leon Walters, said that the idea to update the software was not a new one.

"Version 2.0 of PKR.com has been in the pipeline for almost a year and it's just the start of what we have planned," he said.

"Version 2.0 is all about making PKR.com easier and more enjoyable to play," he added.

The Marketing Director of PKR.com, Simon Prodger added his opinion.

"Version 2.0 marks a big step in the evolution of PKR.com," he said. "The changes have been a response to the feedback from players, which is a key part of the development process. PKR.com is driven by its community and that is reflected in everything we do."
