Online Gambling Software Giant Continues to Grow |
August 29 - One of the online gambling industry's largest and most popular
online casino, bingo and poker software developers, Playtech, recently announced
its extremely impressive results for the six month period ending June
2006.
The online gambling software firm, which provides games to some of the most
popular online casinos and poker rooms on the Internet today, showed results
over double those reported in the six months previous.
In terms of the 'nuts and bolts', Playtech reported gross revenues of $46.2
million, a 139% increase, online casino revenues of $40 million, a 129% increase,
online poker revenues of $4.8 million, and an impressive 851% increase for the
company's relatively new iPoker network.
In the first half of this year, Playtech signed up seven new licensees with
many more expected in the latter half of the year. The company has also made
tremendous progress by developing and launching a range of new mobile
games as well as traditional Asian games such as Mahjong.
With the issues surrounding the online gambling in the United States, Playtech
has recognized the need to position itself to enter new online gambling markets. As a result, the company formed its own Asian division, as
well as stepped up its
efforts to become a greater force in Europe as well as the UK.
Said Playtech CEO Avigur Zmora, 'As a company we can now boast 42 active
licensees which combined operate 137 online gambling websites. This has meant an
increase of 22 new online gambling sites since the start of 2006. By taking
advantage of major growth opportunities, we are greatly looking forward to the
second half of 2006.'
32Vegas Casino is powered by Playtech software and is currently offering new
players a generous 320% Welcome Bonus.
