Newbie Wins Bodog Poker $100k Tourney - 01-04-08 |
 January 4 - Surprisingly, the winner of a super-lucrative online poker
tournament hosted recently by top-rated online poker room, Bodog Poker, has been
identified as a young new poker player known by his alias,
'Bigmonte87'.
Bigmonte87 earned himself kudos for his newly acquired online poker skills after he won
the $25 000 first prize by beating out 756 other online poker players in Bodog
Poker's last Sunday $100 000 Guaranteed poker tournament of 2007.
Not only did Bigmonte87 prove that he has what it takes to become a top Bodog
Poker
player, but also managed to dispatch some of Bodog Poker's best-rated poker players, including the talented 'GraveDanger', 'Catfish4U' and 'JoeMcGuire',
to clinch first place.
JoeMcGuire finished the tournament in 4th spot and earned himself $6 900,
Catfish4U came in 7th and won $3 500 and GraveDanger finished in 8th taking home
a not too shabby $2 500. All of these players were undoubtedly impressed with
the poker skills
shown by the newcomer.
