Microgaming Showcases Live Gaming to Asia - 06-08-09 |
 June 8 - Tapping into the ever growing Asian gaming market, the Isle of Man based software company, Microgaming, used the G2E show in Macau last week to showcase its new products.
Among those that Microgaming hopes will make a huge impact on the Asian gaming market include its LiveDealer service which presents players with the opportunity to enjoy live casino dealers from the comfort of their own home.
The Macau G2E show, which ran from June 2-4, demonstrated the roulette and baccarat offerings of the LiveDealer service and showed those who attended the latest technology used, including laser beam readings, human error elimination options and cards shuffled in real time using video feeds.
Other software that was showcased in Macau included the Big 2 video game, Showhand, a five card stud game that is particularly popular in Asia and Dou Di Zhu, a card game that has players battling it out to lose their cards against their landlords.
"We are exhibiting at G2E Asia with a strong portfolio of games specifically developed to the Asian market," said the spokesman for Microgaming in Asia, Fredrik Lonnqvist. "Our ability to provide localized game play to reflect the differing languages and gaming habits across the Asian region, coupled with our local support provision, provides a perfect platform to live up to our slogan of 'We are the Game'."
Microgaming has support teams located in the Philippines and Singapore, and offers round the clock back office support to its partner sites in local time.
The software company powers over 120 online casino sites and 40 poker rooms and is considered a leader in the internet gaming market.
