Ladbrokes Bingo is UK Site of the Year - 01-11-10 |
January 11 - Amidst tough competition for what was a particularly busy year
in the UK online bingo industry, Which Bingo portal announced the results of its
annual awards last week.
The portal named the Best Online Bingo Site in the UK 2009, as well as the
Best New Online Bingo Site out of 300 UK sites listed at Which Bingo.
The winner of Online Site of the Year was
Ladbrokes Bingo, which
grabbed the attention of online bingo players who placed their vote.
Ladbrokes was chosen for its innovative TV advertising campaign and its
refreshing makeover that it recently underwent.
The Head of Games and Bingo at Ladbrokes, Ruairi Boyle said: "It's the most
prestigious award in online bingo and we're thrilled to win it. We want to share
this success with all our roomies who voted for us and helped us to top of the
bingo pile."
"Right now we're in the mood to party and the special celebratory games that
we have planned for 31 January will be a great day for everyone in bingo," he
added. "We're already looking forward to 2010 to retain our title."
Ladbrokes Bingo beat tough competition, including
Wink Bingo and Mecca Bingo
to take the title.
What makes it's win even more meaningful is the fact that it only ranked 18th
on last year's list.
Golden Hat online bingo room won the title for the Best New Bingo Site.
Top 2009 site winners were as follows, in order of descent: Ladbrokes, Mecca,
Wink, Tombola, Bingo Playground, Golden Hat, Giggle, Betfred, Posh, Gone.
