IPN Celebrates Three Million Players - 05-04-09 |
May 4 - The start of 2009 seems to be a period of celebration for Boss Media's International Poker Network. While some online gaming and poker rooms in the industry are reporting slowed numbers due to the economic crisis, this seems to be far from the case with IPN. Boasting increased numbers on their site, International Poker Network topped this with the announcement that they have registered their 3 millionth player.
The start to the year showed other impressive figures for the network with a 14% increase in their active daily players. In addition there was a 22% increase in peak concurrent players and a surge of 28% in daily registrations.
GTECH's New Media and Sports Betting division includes Finsoft, Boss Media, St Miniver and Dynamite Idea. President of this division, Atul Bali, said that reaching the 3 millionth player was an amazing milestone for International Poker Network. He said that the group was building on the strength on each company in the media circle and that reaching this impressive figure was just one of the many more achievements that they aim to reach in the near future.
The New Media and Sports Betting division of GTECH has the aim of providing white label services and technology to their clients who operate online poker rooms, online casino sites, online bingo rooms, skill and lottery games and sports betting activities. The division is reported to be doing very well, with first quarter revenues reaching 17.4 million Euros.
International Poker Network ranks very well in online poker world regarding the number of active players in its realm. According to Poker Scout, an online poker ranking site, IPN ranks 9th for active players on their network, and sixth if networks open to US players are excluded.
