Bluff Poker Academy Opens at Weekend - 04-25-09 |
April 25 - Poker fans in the United Kingdom who are keen to brush up on their skills and enjoy lectures by some of the top names in the business should hurry to sign up for a series of lectures that will tour the country.
Bluff Europe, the leading poker publication in the region, is sponsoring its inaugural Poker Academy, with the first of the four stops kicking off in Manchester this weekend.
The Poker Academy will also be open to players in Birmingham, Dublin and London.
Bluff Europe publication said that tickets are still available for all four sessions, although those wanting to attend should make their bookings now.
The Saturday session in Manchester promises to be an event definitely worth attending, with the chance to see top players in action, the chance to pick their brains and ample hours of lectures to learn about strategies.
Three hours of lectures will be conducted by Paul "Action" Jackson and Ian "Raiser" Fraiser. Also present will be top poker author Alex Rousso who said about the lectures: "This is a great opportunity for intermediate players to come along and improve their game by learning from some of the best players in the country and hopefully have a lot of fun at the same time."
Some of the topics that will be covered in the lectures include the basic theory of poker, bankroll management and even tips on how to deal with defeat.
The Manchester session will take place at 235 Casino, one of the city's main entertainment attractions that boasts both gambling facilities and dining options. The casino is stylish both inside and out and provides luxury gaming opportunities for the city's residents.
