To get their players into the mood for one of the most exciting sporting
events in a long time - the Beijing Olympics - Paddy Power Poker has announced
the launching of a brand new tournament that is sure to put a smile on any poker
player`s face.
In true Olympic style, Paddy Power Poker has launched the tournament
under the name PPP Olympics and promised money-added competitions, huge
freerolls, and lucrative prize packages and cash to be given away - all in the
gaming spirit of the Olympics.
Launched to coincide with the official opening of the Olympic Games this
Friday evening, Paddy Power Poker Olympics will run every night for exactly a
week, beginning on Friday. Two tournaments will be held every single day of the
week, covering a No Limit Texas Hold `em event and a Pot Limit Omaha event.
Paddy Power Poker said that it would add between $250 and $1000 to the prize
pots, making these tournaments extra lucrative!
The `awards ceremony` of the PPP Olympics will take place on August 15th,
when players can stand in line to win part of the $15,000 prize pool in the Gold
Medal Freeroll. Any players who took part in at least three tournaments during
the week leading up to the freeroll can automatically take part.
The Gold Medal Freeroll comes with a particularly generous prize - a $4500
Irish Winter Festival Package, as well as no less than $10,000 prize money!
Paddy Power Poker issued a humorous statement when launching its promotion:
"I know there is a lot of excitement right now about the small sporting event
due to take place in Beijing in August, but we wanted to offer something even
more exciting for our players. We`re giving away over $20,000 to those players
willing to show us that they`re at the top of their game and trying to get on
the podium. For those who have been in training these last few months, it is now
time to grab their spandex, shave all their body hair and reach out for the gold
medal!"
