Sun Poker Shifts to Playtech Network

November 21 - Players at Sun Poker online poker room will be thrilled to note that their favorite site will soon be working off a new software platform. It was announced this week that Sun Poker will be moving off the Cryptologic poker network and would, instead, be joining other top poker rooms in the industry to the iPoker network.

Sites that partner with Playtech`s iPoker network include Betfed Poker, Titan Poker and CD Poker.

Sun Poker informed its players this week that they had until January 31st to remain on the Cryptologic network, although the site would be moving over to the iPoker network as early as mid-December.

In an email sent to its players, Sun Poker praised the iPoker network and said: "As you know, the Playtech software is one of the most popular in the world due to its award winning game offerings, multiple currency and multiple language features, and unparalleled innovation in the online gaming world."

In order to begin enjoying these new offerings immediately, Sun Poker players will have new accounts automatically opened for them on the iPoker network. All they will then need to do is download the new software and transfer their accounts from Cryptologic to Playtech`s software platform.

What will not be transferable are My Poker Points that were earned through loyalty schemes on the Cryptologic network. The site has not yet decided what to do in this case, but it has said that it would be holding a special promotion after the site moves over, based on the number of points that the player has accumulated.
